Stopped building sets in 09 and now have stopped chasing SFGiants/49ers in 2019. But still have lots of wants. Due to a generous divorce court had to return to work, so trading is still important to me but now pulling and mailing can only be done on tuesday and wednesday

I am going to polite-fully borrow a very fitting quote from fellow trader FSCGrad777  - "my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade." additionally, I am (SOMETTIMES) willing to dig through your (basketball, football, and non sport ONLY) FST cards to see if I can come up with something I like to trade for.

5/18/24 - As a need to focus on certain PCs, I have decided to either sell (preferably) or trade (not card for card, but perhaps for larger dollar/graded card/s , etc) ALL my 100+ Josh Allen (QB) PC, so, even if I don’t have something on my want list, I may be open to suggestions, I could easily pop these Allen’s on my FSTs, but figured this might be a quicker way of getting the word out 😎✌🏻🏈

3/13/24 - I 'think' I am going to embark on working on ALL non numbered variations of the 22 and 23 NBA Prizm Monopoly sets, it is WAY more involved than I anticipated it would be with the original thought, but easily my favorite sport and board game growing ups, so why not...

3/12/24 - my son and my Pacers/Magic game experience was a GREAT success, not so much autographically (?), although HE was able to pull down 8 different players' autos (pics to be posted in the forum, hopefully), but the luxury seats were 1st class...access ALL around the court, through each team's tunnels before/during/after games, and all you can eat food/drink...we strongly recommended this experience to anyone willing to fork out a few 'extra' bucks who wants a close to the game action!

On that note, I am going to begin PCing former Arizona and now Pacers PG TJ McConnell, he is the epitome of hard work, a scrappy player who honestly just doesn't look like he belongs on the court with these other giants, but is a BEAST (he had 16/7/7 that game we went to), and oozes confidence, but in a professional way....he was extremely kind to my son after the Pacer win, so that goes a long way to me

2/4/24 - This may be common sense, but I have begun paying more attention on the scarcity/availability of cards on my FST list when comparing each side of the deal - many times, if I have THE only card on the site, I will use that as 'value' in consideration to what I am seeking in these trades - it may not be the most valuable card, but if its the only one available for trade and (for example 50+ people have it on their wantlist, to ME - it holds more value...and again, I am probably not breaking any new ground with this statement, I just wanted this to be here for when members read my profile on reasoning behind these proposals and counter offers

-Tommy Kleinschmidt (Similar to Eric P's backstory, I began wearing a sleeveless shirt underneath my game jerseys bc of him, AND he has a small part in Hoop Dreams, one of my favorite docs)

-Arthur Agee and William Gates (stars of the aforementioned doc Hoop Dreams)

-Chris Herren (maybe the most confident caucasian hooper I have ever seen in person, his BABC AAU summer league performances here in Jax in 1994 were E P I C...)

I prefer to do trades of 18-27 (ish) cards or less (please, no deals smaller than 4-6 cards each, to BOTH get our money's worth on postage) to allow me to safely place 2-3 cards (max) per slot on a 9 slot folded, sleeved page to be sent between 2 pieces of (painter's) taped cereal board in a long PWE, to be able to use a standard stamp and avoid large shipping cost, however, we can do larger trades if need be, no problem, as this is just what i have found works most efficiently since i have been on this site...i am always game for shipping tricks, so please feel free to share them wih me anytime!

A note on condition:

I do my best to make sure that my cards are in the best condition possible in my collection, and the same goes for cards I trade. All cards I send will be sleeved and those I consider of higher value will be toploaded to make sure they enter your collection the same way they left mine. Should I notice a major imperfection, like a dinged corner or whiting on edges, I will notify you beforehand so that the transaction can go smoothly. I will also do my best to give you the best example of a card I have if I have duplicates of it. I pride myself on the condition of and care that I treat my cards with, so I will do my best to make things nice for everyone.

Conditions of my Cards
My cards that do not have a condition listed in the database can be assumed to be free of wrinkles and other major issues. These cards are likely to have corner wear based on the age of the card, generally Ex or better. All other cards with a condition listed are my best guess. Cards that I have from 1989 and before should be in Excellent (some fuzz on corners), Excellent-NM (3 or 4 corners showing slight wear), or better condition if there is no condition set.

I would want cards in VG-EX or better condition for most trades, NRMT or better if we talk about a specific card first. Pre-1970 I will take almost any condition as long as card still has some appeal.

My collecting started in the 1950's and has grown through many ups and downs.  I became discouraged in 1980 when all the card manufacturing companies started creating numerous sets and subsets with so many variations.  The New York Yankees have been my collecting interest.  As a young boy, it was my goal to collect every card issued for a Yankee player.  Much like my stamp collection that I inherited from my grandfather, I knew that some items would be out of my price range yet never was there a time when the volume of the collection became a question.

When I attempted to pick up my sports card collection in the 1990's, I was struck by the people who were speculators in the sports card buying side of the collecting.  Those who stop in a card shop, purchased a hobby box manufacturer's brand, opened the packages, removed only the cards listing in the Beckett monthly pricing magazine as value cards, and left the remaining cards on the counter.

Recently, returning to all the sports cards I have accumulated over the years, I discovered a yearning to reduce my collecting to an enjoyable level and try to do something with all the other cards.  Searching the internet lead me to Trading Card Database.  I signed into the program and was very pleasantly surprised by the database.  I am a new user of the database and still learning.
