- Besides the standard "Star Rookies" subset (cards #1-#29), cards #475 through #487 feature more rookies from that same photo shoot, but those cards were given the same design as the base cards instead.
- First Upper Deck football set to be released in a single series.
- Ten cards in the base set feature veterans in their new uniforms prior to the 1993 season, including #460 Joe Montana, #490 Reggie White, #231 Eric Dickerson and #463 Ronnie Lott. The others are #164 Pierce Holt, #462 Tim McDonald, #465 Shane Conlan, #492 Gary Clark, #518 Kevin Greene and #528 Jeff Hostetler.
- Besides his own card (#25), Terry Kirby also appears on the cards of Dan Williams (#4), Carlton Gray (#476) and Darrin Smith (#483).
