I've noticed the stats for Josh Beckett--#415--don't line up correctly. Was this a problem with other cards in the set?
I rated this set a 9 only because of the front design. It looks great! The back looks horrible, unsettling and foreboding. The player's name in the middle surrounded by bases reminds me of a headstone. The card numbers are also difficult to read.
I decided to only build the complete set of gloss and Gold cards on this set. I did not like the throwbacks style the gold # cards seem much better card.
Opened up a blaster box today. Nice design. I was surprised by the old-school, non-glossy, gray cardboard backs on these. I got a Babe Ruth Turkey Red card. There is one retired legend commemorative patch card per box - I got Lou Gehrig. |
