Although back says Giacomin, it does not match type of mask he wore. Goalie is wearing #1. Jersey is away blue and says Rangers diagonally, which was worn for 75-76. Season 76-77 and 77-78 season had logo on front of Jersey and 78-79 and 79-80 seasons blue jerseys had New York written across jersey. So had to be before 76-77 season. Doug Soedart and Dunc Wilson were only ones besides Giacomin to wear #1 for Rangers since 1965 through 1976. Doug S. and Dunc W. wore #1 only in 1976. Washington Capitals player is showing on card. Blue jerseys were away and only played at Washington Capitals on 1/23 and 3/16 in 75-76 season. On 3/16 only John Davidson (#35) was NY Goalie. 1/23 game Dunc Wilson was wearing #1 and was goalie. |
