The 16th (Irish) Division had two symbols; the Shamrock (shown on this card) was for personnel and was worn on the uniform. The other symbol was for transportation and is the letter "P" superimposed over the the letter "L". The transportation symbol can be seen in the 1925 John Player & Sons Army Corps & Divisional Signs 2nd series, card #69. |
