Trivia |
- Used as promotion items, the 1976 MSA Discs had identical (or very similar) fronts but different backs for each promotion. MSA stands for Michael Schechter & Associates, which had a partnership with the Players’ Union to create these food issue collectibles. The 1976 MSA backs included: Buckmans, Carousel, Crane, Dairy Isle, Orbakers, Red Barn, Safelon, Sweet William, Towne Club and Wiffle Ball as well as blank backs.
The discs measured 3- 3/8 inches in diameter.
User Comments |
These Michael Schechter Associates (MSA) discs were used for advertising by several companies who would print their company logo on the back, but are also found with blank backs which is this set. They also produced a similar set in 1977 with many of the same players therefore sometimes making it hard to know which year the blank back is from. The only company to use the discs both years is Dairy Isle. | ||
