The cards were issued in booklet form whereby 7-8 cards were enclosed by a paper wrapper and then stapled together. On the front of the wrapper was listed the sets the manufacturer had issued and on the back it gave details of how to obtain a photographic album once you had collected a set of cards and how to win a grand prize. Your collection was then returned with the back of the card rubber stamped with the word 'cancelled', sometimes the word 'cancelled' was handwritten. To limit the number of claimants certain cards were produced in smaller numbers compared to the rest.
The packaging section shows a complete booklet as well as three different wrappers listing sets. Wrappers could be found wrapped around any of the card issues and were not limited to a specific set. One advantage for the collector was that you could easily see the card series and numbers which helped to minimise duplicate collecting. A big dis-advantage was that the cards had small holes in them due to the staple.
