There is a card show near my house where I try and sell my duplicates. I don't bother to put them on the site (except for those I have a complete factory set then some in a binder like my '89 Fleer cards) because I have so many of them.

I wanted to share a pay it forward. I started on the site here a few weeks ago and still have a huge volume of cards to go through and enter. Mzentko sent me a package of cards as a welcome to the site and back to the hobby. I just prepared a card to send out to him and was like don'y worry about what I want back for it (intended to be a pay it forward type of deal) and realized it was to Mark who originally sent me something. He seems to be one of the good collectors and it appears his pay it forward has allowed me to do a small payback of a card he needed. Thanks Mark!

Mark was the first user on this site to send me a couple of cards as well. After seeing my initial forum posting about my player collections, he generously offered to send me a card I needed. When the envelope arrived, there was a Joey Votto card that was new to my collection as well. Luckily I was able to repay him with a couple of cards himself, but the gesture didn't go unnoticed!

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Not saying this as a negative, but actually as a positive, but if we start naming names of all the good people on here, it's going to be a really, really long thread. :)
I'm really grateful to be a part of this site, where there are so many great people. The people on this site restore my faith in humanity! :)

You just gotta watch out for the hot heads!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

You're completely right. I almost said in my post that Mark "was one of the good ones", but then I realized that made it sound like they were few and far between. In reality, this site is 98% good ones; some of the best people I've ever dealt with!

I must echo the last sentiments expressed. Never have I encountered a group where it has been so predominantely great people who all have the common interest to help others in their individual quests, be it by trading cards, identifying cards, passing on information about where to acquire cards, or even how to collect and store their collection. Let's keepit this way. Love this site and its membership!
