i usually go to the packaging area and right click and save something from there. At the point I just print it out on my computer. I've also used google search for sets or players and print the images that I like.

I have gone to Google and typed in Topps, Score, Sportflics, whatever then insert the sport and year underneath the logo and put in the plastic sleeve in the binder to identify. Pretty much what Randy said.

I've seen some really well done ones, but don't know of any templates. Here's a spine pic for ideas ...
Pictures of a wax pack from that year on top, large set text, and picture of a wax box on bottom. The same guy did front covers with some of the key cards from the set as the background and set name on front also. For the backs, he used a checklist card as a template and made his own custom 'key card checklist' to cover the entire back. I can grab a link to a front/back sample if you like.

Avery.com has a design template program. You can use it on the web or download it to your PC. That's what I use.

I never thought about checking Avery for spine templates! Thanks for the suggestion. I've been trying to do them on Google Docs and think the Avery website will be a better option.

for cover art I used a simple thing
I dropped cards on a scanner in a hap hazzard way a couple showing the other side Base inserts subsets that are in book then I scanned it turned cards over and do one for back
Used a photo editing program and added set name
another was I would have a recap of the season playoffs teams with records and all star game center top I added pictures of teams that made playoffs Just for me at bottom center How the Phillies did

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Here's one I created for my 2019 Topps Heritage set (I'm still in the process of inventorying/completing this set). Perhaps it will provide a slight bit of inspiration. I love the other suggestions too. The binder spine images are especially impressive. I think I'll be making my binder spines something like those.
