I just completed another medium-sized trade where the US member shipped to me 161 cards in 2 - 9x12" envelopes for $6.41 each. 80 cards per envelope in 9-pocket plastic sheets between 2 pieces of cereal boxboard. No customs declaration required no matter what the USPS clerk may say; these go out as irregular sized letter mail.
Thanks CluelessJoe for taking the time to do this. Another member who now knows how to make trading across the 49th parallel economically.

I've sent 180+ in a 9x12 envelope for similar pricing (gone up over the years but always around $6.00) to you and other Canadian friends. Those who holdout refusing to accept they can send as a larger PWE (much more economical than package rates) are missing out on so much product available only in Canada.
I just mailed 44 cards to Canada for $2.84 (3.3 ounces), and that comes out to about 6¢ per card.
Just saying...

Trying to get the message across has been...trying! When I see those profiles or offers limited to "lower 48th states only", I shake my head in disgust. Their choice but it does not endear those outside the lower 48.

I have had packages not show from the USA, or took a very long time to get here. I've recently had PWE's that Ive sent to the USA come back saying they need to be sent as a parcel. Only 20-30 cards, but would cost almost $10. Not worth it. So, I've decided to no longer trade with USA, and keep my trades with Canada only.

In over 1,000 trades big and small, I have one PWE that has not shown up at destination and one PWE coming to me that has not arrived. I have only had one bubble mailer come back to me as not enough postage even though I mailed it through a postal outlet. The clerk did not understand why it came back so I removed my return address and dropped it back in the mail box. It was delivered.
On PWE, I never put my return address so it has to get delivered (USPS and Canada Post policy). I no longer put my return address on small bubble mailers. I only put my return address on packages. Other than the two previously mentioned, no issues though one PWE coming to me took 8 months to get here from CA.
Don't let USPS, Canada Post or customs on either side of the border spoil a good thing.

I just sent a regular bubble mailer last week from Canada to the Staes;
the clerk said the US just changed their rules,
so we could try sending my bubble mailer as regular letter mail,
because they did that in the past & it went through, but this year a lot are being returned,
& only some are going through,
& the US are being more strict now.

For a PWE, why didn't they just use an international stamp for $1.55?

It's not just USPS that's enforcing the rules, it will also happen with International ones as well. I had one returned from my eBay business because the piece of cardboard, that I use for a backer was too close to the edge of the cards.

If its over 2 ounces, the $1.55 isn't enough.
