I dont need to explain myself yet again as you have all heard it by now. The wife is now working from home and because of client/privacy statutes the rest of us have to stay in basement from 8:30 to 5:00. We try our best, if we hear her talking we do not go up. Jr is off of school until the 27th for sure and then they will make a decision from there onward. He has school work starting monday online and he dont like that. AB has a lot more illness than SK but that is a simple population thing plain and simple. We luckily stocked up at Costco last week when I had my surgical consult so no need to do any trips for food. The wife is doing the towm trips as like I have said before I am keeping myself on lockdown so I dont screw up a chance at surgery if it were to happen. Other than that, somebody hacked our Netflix on Wednesday and they are "not taking calls at this time" so if no contact today I will have to cancel it and start a new one. Had scammers call the house trying to get my CC# and I just hung up on them, yesterday I literally had a lady call trying to book us into a time sdhare in FLA!! I said SERIUOSLY!! And you could tell she was embarrassed, it was priceless. Other than that, I chat with Chuck quite a bit and spend a few hours a day on the hoard. Everyone stay safe, stay wise and stay sane. I had enough problems on my hands before this but not much we can do now is there. Later peeps.

With me I still worked 180 these past 2 weeks and hoping for another 20 but work is now starting to feel the pressure
As for me I think it is more hype than anything else with that being said we have medicine in the house stuff to make Hot Totties and business as usual for me.
when I go home I don't go to town unless I have packages to mail We have enough non parishable food for 3 months and if we need meat I will just shoot a deer or a wild hog trap some oppossums or raccoons. We can make it for a while not going to town and no reason to go to town for I am betting that the whole country is like a ghost town

Work is crazy, and at times, panicked. We are a computer manufacturer that our products get installed into something bigger. We don’t make the treadmill, just the touchscreen computer. Some of our customer base is in the medical field and are ordering more than average. Complicate this with the supply chain constricting with overseas suppliers and an end-of-quarter that everyone is trying to hit their numbers, we are at maximum hours. I am responsible for one of the support departments that oversee Shipping/Receiving and material storage. I have had many call-ins and have had to cover the shifts myself. Luckily, Mrs. FiresNBeers has a good routine that the kids are following at home. I’m able to work whatever hours are necessary to support work while she supports home. Love that overtime wage right now.
Both of my kids are younger and are home from school, but they are very responsible for their age. I know that I’m biased, but we have really good kids. They have plenty to work on with their music practices and Boy Scout badges. She works for the USPS, and says the mail is very high too. We are all pitching in to make sure we are being safe and diligent about staying clean. As of right now, both my wife’s and my jobs are a full go. Many people that can work from home are doing so. But both of us are looking forward to getting some time off. Most of our plans in the spring are being cancelled, but our main time-off plans are in the late summer/early fall. Hopefully, when this is virus is over, we can enjoy some relaxation time. In the meantime, I’m still trading and enjoying cards and just trying to get through this the best we can.

I recently sold my house and my wife and my son and I moved to an apartment this last weekend. I was unable to get the internet set up for a few days, and my phone plan only has limited data. So basically I had the stress of moving while also feeling disconnected from important information about what was going on outside.
Finally settled in, and went back to work this week. I am just grateful to have a job right now. I think they may be sending me home sometime in the future to work from home, but for now I am in the office. Again, just glad I have a job.
Finding things at the store has proved to be a challenge, as all the hoarding is leaving the shelves bare. Luckily we have enough to last for a little bit.
Sports being gone is strange, especially with baseball not starting. I live here in AZ so also strange not having all the Spring Training going on. Maybe not seeing the Suns is a blessing in disguise.
As far as the hobby goes, I have been so out of sorts the last few weeks that I even have 4 rack packs of cards I haven't opened. I got them weeks ago. We are hoping to have our new house built by the Summer but with everything going on I don't know whether or not there will be delays. I probably won't be buying any more cards until we are settled in our house.
Things are crazy, and again just glad to still be able to earn a paycheck. Hopefully this remains true.

Update:
work called a safety meeting today the result was with the virus they are asking volunteers to work 30 straight days because our relief flying in maybe cancelled and that will have our work force cut into 3/5. Some decided to go home but knowing that they will not be able to come back until this thing is on the way to being concurred
I volunteered to stay for the 30 days but if family emergency comes up I can leave. Along with anyone who decides to stay as well. And if you get to the point that you feel you need to go home no one is stopping you this is totally voluntary
so with this I must say to my traders waiting on feedback from me and trades pending. Please be patient a little longer

No change here. I went food shopping the other day and got everything on my list. Traffic is still the same all business are open. The numbers are just to low to be worried about it. Yes, there are some people that should hide and say at home. because of age and health problems. But dumbing down your immune system is not a smart thing to do. If a vaccine is not found next year when it mutates and gets stronger it will kill more. Right now we are dumbing down the herd's immune system. Are you willing to be hiding every year for 1/2 a year for the rest of your lives? People over 80 years old only have an 18% chance of dying from it and the younger you are the % only goes down. The world numbers are 274,732 cases, 11,369 deaths & 90,942 Have recovered out of 7,800,000.000 people on earth.
In America, it's 19,195 cases 249 deaths and 148 recoveries out of 329,450,000 people. The recoveries are low for America because we are late to the party. compared to other countries. 249 deaths is the number of people that die in a car crash every day in America. 249 deaths virus one-month, cars one day, everyday. But you don't fear your car, do you? Here is the live page with the numbers.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries
Look at the number of China where it started even their numbers are not that bad compared to the population. You do have to come in contact with someone that has it to possibly get it. If the news told you the number and the truth which they don't. People would not be freaking out when you don't have to.
Well, I'm off to the bar going to have a few, sit on the patio, get some sun chat up some girls and live my life as I always have, with No fear, a Scotch and a beer.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

WOW, normally I won't comment , This is too much. I am glad you are enjoying yourself to the fullest. Makes me wonder if all those years in countries I had no business in for months at a time, losing friends and family just so you be ignorant on something that can prevented. I agree it is not an end all but for once you should think of others besides yourself. Yes alot have taken the scare tatic too far but it is serious, don't be like Commander Cheeto

Yeah, it must be an attempt at saracasm, right? If not and the person is serious there's no point in trying to argue becaues they are clearly too far gone. Even assuming that, the utterly incompetent "analysis" provide for justifying behaviours is still irritating!
I don't know what you mean by scare tatics but this is pretty serious and I have not seen any scare tatics by experts nor the media.

The ignorant will be singing a different tune in a couple of months. The rest of us will keep educating ourselves and making good decisions sincerely trying to avoid becoming carriers/victims. If you want to look at China, look deep at China:
(from https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/19/asia/coronavirus-covid-19-update-china-intl-hnk/index.html) ...In the weeks following the early spread of the virus, the government enacted draconian quarantine measures and strict travel restrictions affecting hundreds of millions of citizens. In some hard-hit cities, residents have been unable to leave their apartments for more than a month, while transport between major population hubs has been limited or halted altogether.
The unprecedented nature of the measures has exacted a steep toll, however, both on the many millions of ordinary Chinese forced to endure life under lockdown and the country's economy, which has seen a steep decline in recent weeks.
If taking the media seriously does not work for you, then it doesn't work for you. You can instead go get your information straight from credible, official sources such as the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov), the World Health Organization (www.who.int) and your local government. Or would that make sense?
Stay safe!
