"I'm surprised I haven't heard one word yet suggesting Altuve's MVP is tainted, yet it's obvious now that he directed benefited from this."
Altuve was rewarded with a five-year, $151 million contract in March of 2018, so cheating does pay. It's disgusting.

LOL. That's the way to bring some lightheartedness to a thread! What would cheating consititute for the Mariners anyhow, losing by 1-2 runs instead of a blowout?

True, but consider this (devil's advocate here so no hate!!!). Once they figured out the signs or the sequences they could have applied it on the road too (assuming the Dodgers didn't change things up). May not have been as effective, but these are smart ballplayers nowadays. Of course, the Astros could have been on the up-and-up on the road and simply outplayed the Dodgers.

Regardless if they knew what pitch was coming, they still have to put the barrell on the ball. I diasagree with the one year suspension, maybe a month, OK. But to ruin their careers (as it seems) to me does not fit the crime. Red Sox are up next.....

However, they were 8-1 at home in the postseason, but 3-6 on the road.

Yes it was bound to happen and MLB needs to take some of the blame for it. They are pushing for the technology and putting it in places that almost beg to be misused.
Take away all tech once the game starts. No replay room, no monitors or Ipads in the dugout, no phones, nothing. TV's in clubhouses would be turned off, The game starts and it is all on field. You know, baseball the way baseball is supposed to be. I'm not a huge fan of replay to begin with but if MLB wants to keep replay have another umpire in the press box to monitor questionable plays.
I'm very old school and used to enjoy the game alot more. You know, MLB's promo line: "Let the kids play". I'm all for that. Let them actually play and not constantly be analizing every pitch 14 different ways.
An old fuddy duddy and proud of it.

Agree with removing all monitors from the dugout. I don't mind replay, but make the managers base their decision on their own eyes, just like the umpire.
