1959 Topps #40 Spahn "Variation"

Just looking for opinions, not another variation argument: This is currently the base #40 Spahn's back: We also have a variation #40 from iffie where the "3" in 1931 is slightly smudged. Simple question: does this belong in the database? ------------------------------- * Ed * L8 * Cards in my personal Collection are unavailable *

I can't even find "1931". I figured it out when I went to the actual card. It is not in "1931" but in "31". This is an example of how poor wording or severely lacking description of a VAR or ERR is simply cause for confusion. I see it in too many Note 2.
