Stopped building sets in 09 and now have stopped chasing SFGiants/49ers in 2019. But still have lots of wants. Due to a generous divorce court had to return to work, so trading is still important to me but now pulling and mailing can only be done on tuesday and wednesday

trading only, not selling.  minimum trade 4-6 cards to make the postage worthwhile

USA only for bubble mailer trades / USA + Canada only for PWE trades

master set building [see below] and a few player collections [see below] and

building a variety of base sets, parallel sets and insert sets from other years & brands

trying to improve my organization, it's a struggle

9/10/21 - I'm not really a vintage collector, and have no 50's-60's, yet I do have a lot of  vintage adjacent 70's - early 80's-late 80's junk wax -early 90's in good condition.  I'm slowly adding them here. When I first addd 88 Topps, I started getting overwhelmed by trade matching with members who are not active on the site, or vintage only collectors, and no chance of a trade match.  I had to dial it back.  I have entered almost all of my above referenced material as PC.  If you are a vintage collector of this era, and see that I have multiple copies of a card, and you want/ need it, I will be happy to trade the extra you.  every card of this era, regardless of BV, has a minimum value of 50 cents to me.  please don't ask for a single card, request a 1 for 1 trade, and tell me that the card you want is worth a nickle, and you are offering a card worth 5 cents in return.

edit 11/29/20 - If you want something from me, but can't find cards to trade, that hit my want list, I will  be happy to try to work something out with Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Adrian Beltre, Christian Yelich, Mookie Betts & Mark McGwire

TCDb ranking - players

Shawn Green #1 - [half of which are MEM & AU]

Mark McGwire #13 - and climbing slowly

Albert Pujols #12 - and climbing slowly

Adrian Beltre - #6 and climbing

Sets - I believe I am #1 in the following "master set" building [including all auto, relic, insert & parallel sets]

2012 Topps baseball

2012 Topps Chrome baseball

2012 Topps On line exclusive mini baseball

2012 Prizm baseball

2001 Fleer Platinum

2001 Fleer Futures

hoping to complete base sets for all Topps Baseball from 1970 to present. also collecting 2019 - present Archives and update.

Currently focusing on completely: 1973 base set, 2023 WBC, 2019, 2020 & 2022 archives - 2020 turkey Red. I have Heritage on wants but that is filler for me -

Value & tradng philosophy: honestly I don't put a lot of effort into card values. I feel the cards I trade in are pretty low end. I use the TCDB values as a general guide and I understand the difference between vintage, wax and modern. Commons - HOF and inserts so I make trade offers accordingly. At the end of the day there's cards we want and cards we want to trade so let's make a deal. I'm open to any trade across years, base to parallel, inserts whatever!

I would appreciate a response if a make an offer, please let me know issues with trade offers- let's work it out.

im mostly interested in set building, so if you want an insert or parallel not on my sale list don't hesitate to make an offer.

Prefer: PWE 18 cards  or less. Basically I don't like dealing with post office workers. I will consider all offers, even bigger ones. I will respond to all offers and correspondence quickly unless traveling. I try to turn off trades if away for more than a few days.

Im pretty easy to deal with, I love trading and will work with you with any concerns.

I'm a set collector. The sets that I work on are fairly random, and have a lot to do with whether I like the general look of that year's card.

In addition to the base sets, I like working on parallel and numbered parallel sets.

I gravitate toward these three products:

Topps Flagship Series 1, Series 2, Update   (working on 1967, and then primarily 2011 - present)

Topps Chrome:  (2016 - present)

Topps Tribute (2013 only, base and numbered parallels)

Aloha to all!

*****************************************

Inventory levels are at nice, comfortable levels, as several  hundred cards were doled out to the kids last year but I was happily able to acquire many many more over the past couple years. Would like to make a little more headway on completing my vintage sets, as they took a back seat to picking up modern cards for the kids.  So please let me know if you have any of my '69-'76 needs and are ready to trade. Since all the kids are clamoring for Ohtani and my inventory levels are pretty good for most everything else, I will try to pick up as many affordable Ohtanis you are willing to trade away, then expand any trade from there.

******************************************

It has been a wonderful, busy, and fulfilling few years here!  In the past, I had to get creative in order to generate interest amongst my various little leaguers.  As most of my inventory consisted of players’ cards from before most of the kids were born.  Thanks to the traders here, Ive been able to distribute a bountiful amount of cards to the kids accompanied by a huge amount of joy!

Although the Altuve/Judge card (18T Update #79) has become too pricey to give to all of my Little Leaguers, it still remains one of my favorites. It looks just like a pic I have of 2 12-yr olds on one my former teams.  It’s a great inspirational card for the smaller kids.  Similarly, I can use an unlimited supply of Jim Abbott cards. Most every kid has a bad day in the field at some point in a season, practices/games..., so I’ll give them an Abbott card and ask them to look closely at it to tell me what they see (so no portrait poses or cards where it's hard to see he's missing a hand). Have yet to find a kid that isn't amazed!

------------------------------------------------

Slowly transitioning out of football and basketball to focus on baseball.  Primarily building sets from childhood days, working my way back in time. Current primary focus is on completing 1968, 1969, 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976 Topps baseball sets. I will always consider trading my 80s/90s inventory for modern all-star cards, I give them away to the 5-14 yr old kids on the little league teams I coach here in Hawaii.  But since we don’t have MLB here, the young kids won’t recognize the names unless they’re all-stars or Kolten Wong/Kiner-Talefa/Ohtani(I coached a couple seasons with Kolten/Kean's uncle and Isiah’s dad).  I basically use the tcdb pricing to balance out trades, not due to any preference, but for lack of anything else. I've heard alot of static about others trumpeting COMC, eBay, & Beckett, which is perfectly ok/understandable, but in almost every case, when referring to tcdb their trades come out heavily in their favor(have yet to see one the other way around).  I’m pretty open to all trades, but like trades to be fairly reasonable.  If a trade involves cards with large discrepancies in pricing, please don't be offended.  Point them out, and the trade can be adjusted or cards removed.

For those of you like me with monster boxes of 80’s/90’s, I will trade for multiples of 12-18 of HOFers or team/all-time record holders (as long as I can ask the little leaguers a relevant trivia question so the card can be a reward). Just message me, as I would not list such cards on my wantlist.

For traders who are missing 1 or 2 cards after accepting a trade, please make an effort to substitute with something similar.

I started collecting as a kid in 1974, baseball, football, and basketball cards. I purchased my first packs for $0.10 in 1974 at Zane's Market in Dover, Ohio.  The next year the price jumped to $0.15.  I quickly learned to count by 15s.  I sold my entire collection in 1989 to get an apartment after graduating from college.  I regret it to this day.  I have been rebuilding my collection over the last 25 years thanks to a very supportive and encouraging wife.  I collect Topps base sets and pre 1990 baseball cards only.   I am always looking for cards I need. I have thousands of doubles from mid 70s - 80s to present plus others. Will trade vintage for vintage but not interested in most cards from last 30 years except Cleveland Indians/Guardians cards. Looking for nice mid grade vintage on trades, min VG/VG+, or  lower grade on some the HOFers pre 1970.

Complete sets; Topps 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2021, 2022, 2023.

Currently working on; Trying for better quality of stars' cards in my sets and finishing off the 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023 Topps Heritage sets.  Heck, I'm working on ALL of Topps base sets not listed.

Players that I collect; Kenny Lofton, Omar Vizquel, Jim Thome, Cleveland Indians' team sets, HOFers concentrating on pre-1990 players.

I prefer not to ship to Canada.  It's quite expensive.

Let's trade!!

I stay very busy as most of us do. That said, I prefer to pull all cards before accepting a trade to ensure that I have everything.  I don't like to be in a rush to do this and typically have to wait for the weekend to get into my cards.  If you are interested in a trade, but you're on a timeline, please communicate that.

Trying to complete Topps sets, basic set and traded/updated, from 1957 to present. Don't really look for mint cards in the sets before 1987. Also trying to collect one example of every card that Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan have been on. I do my best to make the trades even on both sides. I keep adding more cards for trade as I go through my collection.

Life long Mets fan living in Saint Louis, MO.

PLEASE NOTE ---- If your mailing address is in Canada, It will take a bit longer for it to get to you. I have to go directly to the post office and at times it is difficult to have something mailed to Canada.

NOTE #2 - I work from home. If I receive a transaction request during the week I will accept. If I receive it on a Saturday or a Sunday, I will review and accept on Monday.

• Working on low to mid grade 1970 through 1972 complete Topps baseball sets, but I'll take any condition just to complete these sets. I'm focusing on these right now and I hope to trade as much for these as I can. I will buy if the price is right. I'm over halfway on 1970-1972 with HOF and High #'s remaining.

• Detroit Tigers Topps Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1958 to present)

• Detroit Lions Topps and Donruss post 2015 Team Sets, including SP (Complete 1956 to present)

• West Michigan Whitecaps Team Sets (Complete 1994 to present)

• Topps Flagship Baseball Sets 1970 to present (Complete 1973 to present)

• Topps Flagship Football Sets (Complete 1981-1992)

• Topps Traded/Update Sets (Complete 1974 to present)

• Topps Pro Debut Sets (Complete 2010 to present)

• MLB Mascots

• Any other local teams of interest - Grand Rapids Griffins, Muskegon Lumberjacks, Grand Rapids Rampage, Traverse City Beach Bums, Traverse City Pit Spitters, etc.

I've been very blessed in my trades and transactions here on TCDB. Thank you to all. I will trade vintage for modern and vice versa as long as there is roughly equal value felt on both sides. I am a set builder and collecter. I do not speculate on my cards for future value. I do this for fun, not for profit. I will sell, but only to build a small bank of money to use for buying cards I can't trade for. I've traded hundreds of cards each way and I've done many 1 for 1 trades, so no trade is too big or small for me.

In packaging, I use painter's tape ONLY. I try to use a photo mailer for small trades of about a dozen or less.  I use #10 PWE for trades up to about 2 dozen cards and maybe 2 PWE for 4 dozen.  After 50 cards, I typically will use a bubble mailer with tracking.  If it is 200 or more cards, they will likely be in a box well padded.

White Sox. More specifically, Paul Konerko, Frank Thomas, and Mark Buehrle, but all White Sox in general.

I tried really hard to make sure that my Junk Wax Era Donruss variations are correct. I REALLY tried... I hate them. With an extreme prejudice. Like, lighter to the box hate... That being said, I will execute due diligence when one is requested in a trade. Sometimes, I may have to counter without that variation, or ask if it matters. My brain itches when I look at them. Just know that I will double check and that, sometimes, I don't have them correct. Thanks!

Also, I am only Trading, not Buying or Selling. Things get messy with money. And, I don't want "Homework." Meaning, if you want to trade, send a trade. Please don't send me messages asking me to send you a trade. I am more than happy to counter if I think it isn't fair, etc. Thanks!

Please be patient with me, as I usually don't get to look at a trade proposal for a couple of days, at least. I'm not ignoring, I just don't live on my computer. I am always interested in trading, but I work overnights and have three kids. That obviously comes first. Also, I only will be making Post Office trips on Mondays and Fridays. I always use PWE as a default, unless otherwise requested. Thank you for understanding.

12/4/2023 - Updated my PC lists, so there will be a mass of Jackie Robinson, Roberto Clemente & Corbin Burnes cards available for sale/trade here soon.  As I mention below, my want list is quite narrow, so I am more than willing to sell cards if we don't match up for a trade.

Came across tcdb.com towards the end of 2019, and I have now completed over 1,500 transactions, with over 23,000 cards changing hands!  Love everything about this site.  I have met so many cool people from all over the Country, and even a few from Canada and beyond. (Just completed a trade to Finland, as a matter of fact).

Stole this from another member, but......my goal is to have zero cards in my For Sale/Trade List.  So keep the proposals comin'!

(I know my Want List is relatively small, so I am certainly willing to Sell cards if we don't have enough matches to work out a trade)

My PC list is as follows (with TCDB rankings as of 2/9/2024):

NBA: Giannis (4), Dirk Nowitzki (4), and Tim Duncan (2).

NFL: Sterling Sharpe (3), and Don Majkowski (2)

MLB: Robin Yount (7), Tony Gwynn (6), Hal Morris (3), Mark Grace (7), Pat Listach (1) and Mark Langston (1)

Golf: Rickie Fowler (2)  & Joel Dahmen (2)

WWE: Lita (3)

UFC: Conor McGregor (4)

Non-Sport: Eddie Vedder, Judah Friedlander, Big Jay Oakerson, The Brothers Osborne (TJ & John), Rob Riggle, Bert Kreischer, Tom Segura, Charlie Berens, Post Malone and Brody Stevens

Although I currently live in Florida, I was born in Milwaukee.....hence my obsession with Wisconsin sports teams.  Ha.

Please check out my For Sale/Trade list, and feel free to message me or send me trade proposals any time.....let's see what we can get done!  (I don't necessarily trade based on "book value", but rather the value to me, so please feel free to counter if I propose a trade that you feel is unfair.  I also have no rules about "insert for insert" or any of that nonsense, so don't be shy to shoot me a proposal)

I keep up with the base Topps and Donruss baseball sets.

I also enjoy collecting oddball baseball sets.  My current focus is on the following:

  • Starting Line Up cards (not the figures)
  • Sponsored team sets like Police, Fire Safety, Kahn's, Coke, etc.
  • Updating my Hostess box panel cards (individuals)

I am always looking for cards that I do not have of the following Hall of Famers.  Serial numbered cards less than 100 are not on my want list but I am still interested.

  • Frank Thomas (White Sox only)
  • Carlton Fisk (Red Sox or White Sox)
  • Ernie Banks (Mr. Cub)

PLEASE READ

CARD CONDITION

I have removed all recent cards that are not NRMT or better from my inventory.  ExMt or better from 80's or earlier.  Anything less than ExMt will be specified and discussed before mailing.  In turn, I ask that you do not send me anything that does not meet these criteria.

POSTAGE

I will send all cards in plain white envelope (PWE) unless agreed otherwise or if card values are high.  Mailing more than 18 cards may be split into separate envelopes.  I always buy postage at the post office and get a receipt so I have some kind of verification.

Single cards will go out in a toploader.  Multiple cards will go in a 9 pocket sheet, folded and placed between more rigid cardboard.  The goal is to keep it thin to keep it cheap and avoid package charges.

TRADING

I use Beckett pricing to even up trades.  If you look up prices on Ebay, Sportlots or COMC, sell your cards there.

All baseball cards to build sets.  I'm not into buying multiple players as investors and discourage trades with people who want multiple cards of superstars or rookies. I will gladly trade one of each but not multiples of the same card,  If you request multiples and I overlook the multiple quantity when I Accept your Offer, I will only send one card but will notify you via message of that fact.

I have complete sets starting with the '51 Topps Red Backs, '52s except the last series, then '53 through current "base sets" except for a few dozen total.  I'm trying to fill in those few by trading, so if you have something I don't, please suggest a trade.

Again, If you're an investor looking for superstars and rookies, please look elsewhere for trades as I prefer to save those cards to serious collectors who need those cards to complete their sets.

I have football, basketball, hockey, soccer and other cards to trade and am working on getting them all loaded into this database.  Feel free to message me with your wants even if you don't see them listed.

I also have some complete sets (hand-collated) available for sale:  Please make offer on each.
  Topps 1986
  Topps 1987
  Topps 1988
  Topps 1989

12.29 - New number 1 priority.  I absolutely love the 2023 Topps X Bob Ross The Joy of Baseball set.  I know this will be a tough one to complete but I've got 18 incoming and looking for any of the base cards.  My wife and son are actually interested in my hobby for the first time!

09.26 - In the process of adding my vintage to my trade list.  I'm not listing anything with creases or markings but these are old and have corner issues in most instances.  I am happy to provide pictures for any vintage card I have.  Just let me know.

***Please know that I will always promptly reply to your trade proposal, but it may take me a day or three to confirm the cards.  Weekdays are busy for me.  Weekends allow for more time spent on cards.  If I reply with a "this should be good to go" or something along those lines, there is a 99.9% chance the trade will happen.  Please have patience.

Priorities

1a.  2024 Topps Series 1

1b.  2001 Topps Master set - I'm down to the tough ones.  Eight golds left, most of the game used and autos.  I realize completing this set is a pipe dream but I love the chase.

1c.  Looking for a Mike Schmidt g/u card.  Needs to be a licensed product.  Getting my hands on one may help me pick up one of the 2001 Topps cards I've been hunting down for 20 years.

2.  2019 Topps 150th Anniversary parallel set - Need just 119 of the flagship set and 105 of the Update set.  Most of the really tough ones I already have.  This set is totally doable.

3.  Any Topps card I need.  I'm a set collector, first and foremost.  going back to my first year of collecting (82) thru today.

4.  I'll never say no to Diamondback cards I need.  last I checked, I needed 107,000+ Dbacks cards, lol.  This includes stamped buy back Dbacks which I do not have listed.  I only have a couple in my collection.

I have the following rookies not listed on my for trade list.  I'd move these for tough rookies on my wantlist.

All Topps - Tatis Jr, Vlad Jr, Acuna, K Bryant

Set collector of Topps, Topps Chrome, Topps Update sets.  Also collect Diamondback cards.

Hi!  My name is Joe Schuld.  I'm 62 YO and I live in NJ.  I am married and have 6 children ranging from 29 YO to 18.  I work as a limo driver so my working hours are not the regular 9-5.  I am also an avid bowler ( bowling in leagues and coaching high school ) as well as trying to do some family geneolgy.  I say this because these are reasons why I am pulled away from tcdb.  I am a lifelong collector who only found tcbd during the pandemic/lockdown.  For years I used ebay but got turned off to them and their handling of Paypal.  I find myself buying less and less these days because of the constant rising prices of new material.

I am more of a set collector than anything although my favorite baseball player is Don Mattingly and my favorite football player is Phil Simms.  I'm a lifelong NY Giants fan and a fan of the Boston Red Sox but I don't necessarily collect any of these per se.  If you have something that catches my interest, we can talk.

I have 10's of thousands of cards available for trade but I am pathetically slow in getting everything loaded here on tcdb.  My want list of sets ( which covers baseball, football, basketball and some non-sports ) is several pages long which is why I haven't loaded it here yet.  Still working on that.

I am more than willing to trade in your favor and will gladly send any items first.  If I learned anything during the lockdown, I realized that my kids don't care one bit about my collection.  So I am very happy to trade away to complete the unfinished sets I have piled up over the years.

Thanks!

Joe

I collect Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Hockey cards.  I have some other sports as well, but don't keep up as much on those sports.

For anyone looking to trade with me, I typically follow the following guidelines:

  • I don't trade parallels, rarer inserts or cards, short prints, or autos for base (no matter how many base cards you put into your offer).  If I listed a regular base card one my wantlist, then lets trade base for base.
  • I also don't trade vintage or modern for junk wax no matter how many junk wax cards you include.  I like to trade similar eras.
  • I also don't pay attention to copyright variations and don't have much interest in pulling cards to look for you unless you make it worth my time to do so! ha!

My favorite PCs that i collect across all of the sports are:

  • Mike Schmidt
  • Steve Carlton
  • Bryce Harper
  • Trea Turner
  • Chase Utley
  • Dan Marino
  • Michael Vick
  • Eric Lindros
  • Ron Hextall
  • Rod Brind'Amour
  • Claude Giroux
  • John LeClair
  • Mark Recchi
  • Michael Jordan
  • Zion Williamson
  • Grant Hill
  • Dell Curry
  • Steph Curry
  • Jalen Hurts
  • DeVonta Smith

Nolan Ryan, Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken, and other HOFers and Rookies. . First come first serve trades so if you were the first person to send me a trade you will be the first person I will agree or counter offer the trade.
I will trade football for baseball

I live in the Piney Woods ( East Tx) and I work in the Permian Basin (West Tx and South Eastern NM). When a away at work i am usually gone 14-19 days and over 500 miles away from my cards.  There are many times i maybe sleep deprived so what i may type may look like a jumbled mess and I apologize for that.  May next days off are April 8-20. The following days off i may not be able to trade much getting things ready for my youngest daughters graduation.  On the other hand while I am at home I also run my ranchett. I am up before daylight and stop working when the sun goes down. (I only have about 2 more miles of a 5 stand barb wire fence to replace by myself) also attending Beefmaster cattle, and a rabbitry, and a Pine Harvest that i must maintain and still cleaning up from the 2021 freeze.  During the summer i ask to bare with me for they are longer days and harder hours.  Now on Saturdays ( both of them) i relax playing catchup on trades that i havent gotten to respond to or got a pole in the water drink beer listening to the radio and just unwind

Getting back into the hobby after ~30 years, which means the bulk of my current collection is junk era wax that includes a good number of HOF players as well as commons. I'd love to trade those to people that are looking to complete sets or collect their favorite team and/or player.

My personal collection is focused on Andre Dawson, Kirby Puckett, Dylan Cease, and any other White Sox (current or retired) players.

I have also started a new project to collect the 1975 Topps Chicago White Sox cards and added a few players with smaller card runs to my PC: Julio Cruz, Ron Karkovice, and Rudy Law.

Prefer to do smaller trades via PWE but am open to bigger trades too. Not looking to buy cards right now until I reduce volume on cards outside of my PC.

TCDB Rankings as of April 11, 2023:

  • Andre Dawson - #9
  • Dylan Cease - #3
  • Julio Cruz - #1
  • Kirby Puckett - #527
  • Ron Karkovice - #1
  • Rudy Law - #1
  • Chicago White Sox - #799

*** Update - April 11, 2023 ***

I have now initiated the quest to begin set building and my focus will initially be on completing the Topps Flagship sets from the 1980's that I began collecting as a kid.

When proposing or reviewing trades, I am mostly looking for base for base trades. Trade offers skewed towards requesting parallels, inserts, SPs, etc. for a larger quantity of base will most often be countered or declined. I am open to cross-decade trades too, meaning I will send newer base for junk era base or vice versa depending on what we each need. Open to trades of all sizes that meet these criteria.

For vintage cards (pre-1980 for my purposes), I only trade vintage for vintage.

Thank you for reading and look forward to trading!

Feel free to shoot me a trade proposal--small, medium, or large--and I'll follow up as soon as possible. I am usually quick to respond, but I can get busy during the work week. Trading commons for commons, stars for stars, RCs for RCs, etc....you know the drill.

My collecting interests include:

  • Set Building
  • Minnesota Twins
  • Brian Dozier (#1 rank on TCDB)

NOTE: I have various Chrome/Finest/Prizm cards on my wantlist. I will trade for them. But please don't offer them (or send them) if they are all scratched up. If you store these types of cards loose (without penny sleeve), then they are most likely scratched up. But if you store them sleeved, then we are good to go. I am not going to be putting them under a microscope and I am not expecting gem mint; I simply want nicely cared for cards.
