- Wax packs were $0.05 for 5 cards.
- $0.10 wax packs containing 10 cards were also made available for the first time.
- Rack packs contained three 10-card packs for $0.29.
- Because players had been instructed by their association officials to not pose for Topps photographers in 1968, there are dozens of photos that are either repeats of previous years or that were taken several years earlier.
- Card #463 - Dennis Ribant is in a Royal uniform even though he never made it to Opening Day as a Royal. Time as Royal 12/15/68 - 3/29/69.

Another perfect example of a classy simple design that Topps is known for. Reminds me of their 74, 88 and 89 sets. Keeping it simple but drawling the eye. I really dig this set, wish I had more cards from this era. | ||

I was an 8 year old who loved Baseball cards! This was the set that started it all for me. My team was the Reds ---- Pete Rose, Tommy Helms, Lee May, Bobby Tolan, Tony Perez and Johnny Bench.
