Chuck submitted a New Feature Tracker (NFT) idea for those interested. The link is in this thread a few times, but for ease of access: https://www.tcdb.com/FeatureTracker.cfm?MODE=VIEW&ID=400&PageIndex=1
This would give us something similar to the blog listing along the right hand side of the screen, but for video blogs (mostly YouTube channels, I would assume). And yes, since my comment on the NFT suggestion is public, and Dan received some backlash, I will volunteer that I too am a little frustrated by the continual posting in this thread of posts that aren't on the original topic of a link to your YouTube channel. I don't want to get too far away from the original point of this thread, because I'm about to be guilty of exactly what I say here, but here's my opinion and frustration with this thread (and I should add that I'm irritated by others that are continually brought up to the front page, too, not just this one):
We have limited space on the homepage of the website. This means that everytime someone posts a reply, this thread moves up to the top and something else gets bumped off the front page. I won't pretend that I have data to support this, but I'm willing to bet that threads that can only be accessed by clicking "More" don't get nearly as many views or clicks as those five on the front page.
It's really not fair to those who are asking questions, having other discussions, or trying to work on a checklist/set to have to keep getting their topic bumped off the front page by users promoting their own content, much like it's rude and not fair to others when someone goes on a string of posting 7 Mystery Card Forum queries in a row. I understand that many YouTube channels are more card-focused than several discussions that take place here, but regardless of the topic, it isn't very considerate of others to continue to self-promote in this situation. And please note I'm referrng to users - not just one person, but anyone.
Oh, and before anyone brings up the B/S/T forum: I have no proof (because it was before my time on the site), but I believe that's why the B/S/T forum got split off into it's own "three-topic" setup that exists now - so that users can "bump" and "promote" their own listings, with the understanding that forum threads for buying, selling, and trading fall victim to the "bump"-style forum posting (is there a word for that? Where it's understood that topics will keep getting bumped to the top?).
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.
