1987 Donruss Baseball Forum

Hey All-

   Just curious if anyone else has come across any of these cards with the "1986" date printed- like in the pic- vs the 1987 date like on the ste /checklist:

I remember finding another from the same set before I was comfortable posting questions but figured I'd go ahead...I did a filtered search of player and card number and found no other image or reason... has this been discussed before? Thoughts?

1987 Donruss - 1986 copyright

1987 Leaf - 1987 copyright

Could your card be a Donruss rather than a Leaf?

Leaf (and OPeeChee) usually have French on back too. The one pictured is Donruss. The one linked to is Leaf...

Copyright has nothing to do with year of the set or it's release year.  True, 99% of the time they coincide but not always. So many people get hung up on the copyright notice.
