When looking at this card compared to the normal on the database, when you look at the bottom you can see that the period after the USA is missing and I have, (from what I've looked through of the cards I own,) 2 of these that are like this. Is the the same for all the '92 fleer prospect cards or us it the only 2 that I have seen which is this #669 Jarvis Brown and #667 Paul Abbott. Thanks for any insight, - TwinKiller. (And if any one wants I can post another one with the Paul Abbott if needed. Again, thanks.)

And if all prospect cards like this card were to be added to the database they would be ERR cards right?

If there are versions of the same card with a period and without a period, they would be VARs. If all cards #669 have no period, it would not be an ERR nor an UER.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Well, the one currently scanned into the DB (667 and 669) has the . after the A so..... more fun with "dot/no dot" VARs?
Just looking at some of the others. 676 and 679 don't have the period either.

I will leave this up to someone else to lead the research and when the extent is determined, contact me - I have this down to a science for adding base set VARs. But, I am NOT doing (or leading) the research on this one.

I am going to use all possible resources to see if all prospect cards are like this and will send message if so. So far really only the 4 we have discussed are like that but we will see. Thanks, - TwinKiller.

Also, please check to see if the whole set is affected, not just the prospects. Thanks.

Alright it is all settled the entire set is effected and has been sent so it should be added some time soon. (Hopefully.) As always, thanks, - TwinKiller.

This is an old thread, but the only one I can find with #679a Cal Eldred PROS. I am beginning to think that the DOT VAR does not exist. Every time I do a trade for it, I receive the NO DOT VAR. I have 6 copies now. The photo in the database is old and impossible to tell. If someone has the DOT VAR, hit me up with a trade. I only need 2 cards to complete the set - the other is

It is very simple, actually. All 1989-1992 Fleer cards were printed in more than one facility. Usually one facility did the retail/grocery/cello and the other did the hobby/wax stuff. This isn't ironclad but that was the tracking when trying to figure out the 1991 set back in the early 00s. Everything from the stock to color saturation to microscopic cropping and text differences can be observed between virtually every card in the 1990-1992 sets (1989 less so), if you look hard enough. 1991 Fleer carries the most obvious examples between the two sources. The U.S.A vs. U.S.A. copyright variances are a product of this split production. You won't get U.S.A. cards in the same packs as U.S.A cards, for example.
