2024 Topps Baseball Forum

I am usually not the most observant, so my guess if I notice something, many others have as well, long before me. But I have not seen anyone mention that there are a number of big name players in the first 100 cards of 2024 Topps where their card number matches their uniform number (Judge, J. Rodriguez, Trout, Alonso, Votto, just to name a few). Its a pretty neat little oddity. 

Personally, i also like it because it shows that someone in the company is putting actual thought and effort into things, whereas, there are times and situations that pop up that make you wonder...

Has anyone else noticed this? Or any other oddball little things?

I have not noticed that, however I could not tell you a lot of player's numbers. Nice observation.

This was also the case in either 2013 or 2014 for the flagship Topps set. 

That’s pretty cool. I was worried the have been doing it the last number of years and I just hadn’t noticed. I was out if the hobby from ‘03 until ‘21 so I missed a lot!

I started noticing this with 2023 because Votto was 19 that year as well. They also gave Judge #62 in honor of his home run total, which I thought was a nice touch. 
 

But I’m also not very good at remembering most player’s numbers, so there are only a few guys that I would even notice. But I appreciate it when I do see it.
