I am a writer, editor, fishing bum, baseball card collector, and superhero who lives in Kokomo, Indiana. I spent nearly 20 years as an executive editor at Pearson Education and am now a full-time freelance editor who works for multiple publishers. I specialize in collecting baseball, football, and basketball autographs. I build complete autographed sets from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. I also build non-autographed sets, though I'm slowly converting my entire collection to being autographed-based. When not editing books or tracking down autographs, I spend my time fishing in central and northern Indiana, playing a variety of role-playing games, tying my own fishing flies, and spending time with my wife and two children.
I am 800+ pages deep into writing my seemingly never-ending book on freshwater fishing and writing another book about autograph hunting. When I have time, which isn't often lately, I blog at www.danceswithbass.com and https://findingjoeshlabotnik.wordpress.com/.
